FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does a lesson work?

We meet up in one of our two designated spots that you will receive with your instruction email confirmation. From there we will make sure your bike is ready to roll with a quick bike check, have a chat about your riding and take to the trail. We will go for a short ride and I can assess first hand what looks good and what could be tuned up. A plan will be set and we will break down several aspects of your riding and work on those. We will wrap up by going over some key points and giving you some homework.

How do you tailor a lesson?

By us having a chat and talking about your strengths and where things can be improved, I can put together a plan which involves drills and run laps on some parts of trails which will sharpen those skill. All the while giving you instant feedback to pin point areas of improvement and what is working well.

It gets hot in Baja! When do you normally run lessons?

We try to get out there early to avoid the sun’s rays so just after daybreak works the best (it gets hard to concentrate after that). We can do can to late afternoon sessions if your morning is busy though.

My friend or partner wants to do a lesson too. Do you do group lessons?

Sure can! We like to keep groups small to get the most out of a 1/1 to 3/1 ratios as when there is more than that the trails get quite “crowded” quickly. With larger groups than that it’s not as easy to get as much attention to detail to each individual’s riding that is needed.

Is there an age limit?

Short answer is no! I have taught people from age 5 to 85. Biking is for everyone to enjoy at all levels of riding. From the very basics to getting off and on a heavier e-bike and learning your new bike’s controls. To confident riders who want to take their riding to the next step by fine tuning some aspects and getting the most from their skill and bike’s performance. We accommodate right through abilities.

What do I bring to a lesson?

Your normal riding kit, puncture repair kit, helmet, sunscreen, water, a snack. We provide a first aid kit and basic bike tools.
